Delegates of the Nigeria Labor Congress today in Abuja elects
Ayaba Waba of the Medical Health Union of Nigeria as its new
President.
Waba polled 1,695 votes to defeat a popular labor activist Joe
Ajero who polled 1,140.
3,119 delegates voted at the Congress. Waba is the outgoing
treasurer of the NLC. Meanwhile controversy trails the
announcement of the results as Joe Ajero
has rejected the outcome claiming that the results were
manipulated.
