Ondo APC Accuse Mimiko For Wasting Ondo State Resources: Stop wasting Ondo’s resources: APC tells Mimiko

The All Progressives Congress in Ondo State has berated the
state governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, for what it described as
a waste of the state’s resources in the hosting of a pro-
Goodluck Jonathan National Conference summit last week in
Akure.
It said while Mimiko had the right to support his presidential
candidate, the use of the state’s meagre resources for
Jonathan’s re-election bid was unfair to the people of the
state.

The party’s Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Adesanya, told our
correspondent in Akure that the APC was worried that a
conference report that had yet to be sent to the National
Assembly would engage the attention of the governor in the
face of current economic challenges of the state.
Adesanya said, “Our concern is not the confab report, but to
caution Governor Mimiko to stop wasting the state’s lean
resources on political campaigns for the re-election of
President Jonathan in the name of confab.
“We reliably gathered that the governor spent several millions
of naira to host this post-confab that turned out to be an
endorsement of Jonathan for a second term in office.
“Majority of those who attended do not represent adequately
the interest of the Yoruba people. They are not Yoruba
leaders.”
