Erediauwa, the Oba of Benin, has passed on.
The monarch kicked the bucket at the age of 92.
The deceased Oba Erediauwa, had been on the throne for 36
years.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports say that the Oba had gone
beyond since two weeks ago, but his death could not be
announced, according to the traditional rites of Benin
kingdom.
In the kingdom, the death of the Oba can only be made
public 30 days after his passing.
The heir apparent to the throne is Prince Eheneden
Erediauwa.
