One of the singing duo of the Oshadipe twins was said to have battled hard to save her life before she finally gave up the ghost in the early hours of Friday, R learnt.
Taiwo, it was learnt, had been in and out of hospitals and churches, apparently struggling to save her life.
Though it could not be established as of the time of filing this report, what actually led to her death but R reliably gathered that Taiwo was said to have been ill and had been visiting hospitals for treatment and churches for prayer sessions.
Her twin sister, Kehinde reportedly disclosed that Taiwo died in her sleep in the early hours of Friday.
She revealed that Taiwo had fallen ill about three weeks ago and had been treated at a Lagos hospital. She was getting better and seemed okay when she went to sleep last night only for her not to wake up.
“She went to sleep last night in her usual bubbly self. This is unexplainable. We are still in shock,” a source close to the family said.
Cause of Taiwo’s death was guarded closely by her family and friends as none of them was willing to reveal much about the late singer whose only child clocked one recently.
Our correspondent who last spoke to her through Blackberry Messenger (BBM) on Wednesday around 7.p.m, disclosed that Taiwo could have been nursing an ailment which she was not ready to disclose.
Their conversations read: Taiwo how are you? Correspondent: I am fine. Taiwo: My brother, Just keep me in your prayers. It is well. I can’t say more than that.
