The District Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church in Sapele, Delta State, Reverend Raphael Itofoh’s wife has given birth to a baby boy after 22 years of marriage. To celebrate this, a thanksgiving service with Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State in attendance was held in the church. Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, who shared in the joy of the birth of the child, advised all to be courageous always and not to give up no matter life’s difficulties.
Governor Uduaghan who led the congregation on choruses to thank God, said prayer and patience are important in surviving life’s challenges. In an emotional testimony, which held the congregation spell-bound, Rev. Itotoh said he and his wife never knew that their journey to having a child would take this long after their wedding in 1992. They attributed the gift of God to their faith in Him and the support of friends and family members, including Governor Uduaghan, who is an elder brother to the mother of the child.
