On Saturday December 21, 2013 the third edition Music Meets Runway was held at the Expo Centre Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Event which was hosted by IK Osakioduwa and Angela Simmons saw designers like Mai Atafo, Deola Sagoe, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, April By Kunbi, Ituen Basi and others showcase their collections
Sudanese British Model Alek Wek joined IK Osakiduwa on stage to introduce the icon of the year Deola Sagoe.
April by Kunbi, the label by Kunbi Oyelese emerged winner of this year’s Rising Icon receiving a prize money of N3m and an automatic chance to exhibit at the next edition of music meets runway. This was announced after she was crowned winner amongst 8 other designers.
Guests were also entertained with performances from artistes like D’banj, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Praiz, Lola Rae, Seyi Shay, Femi Kuti and others
