Following the jailbreak at Olokuta medium prison in Akure, Dr Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has assured The people of Ondo state that government and security agencies are on top of the situation that happened at Olokuta prison in Akure. Governor Mimiko gave the assurance after inspecting the level of damages done at the prison. The governor who was accomplained by the secretary to the state government Dr Aderotimi Adelola, Chief of staff, Dr Kola Ademujimi, commissioner for Justice, Eyitayo Jegede SAN, Commissioner of Police Patrick Dukumor among others, described the situation as straight jailbreak and not a terrorist attack. He assured people of the state to go about their lawful businesses and reiterated his administration commitment to ensure the relative peace in the state is sustained.
