 Today is world Day for Cultural Diversity. It is a day set aside by the United Nations to help broaden the horizon of people on how to live in harmony and maintain their Zcultural Values. For Nigerian Culture to be sustained, government must make cultural values as part of the school curriculum. This was the submission of stakeholders at this years World Day for Cultrural Diversity held at Adegbemile Cultural centre Akure. Speaking on the significance of the Theme to nation building, the Ondo state chairman of parents teachers association Pastor Julius Aderibigbe called on government to create more avenues to inculcate cultural values in the mind of the younger generation The representative of Egbe Akomolede Yoruba Mrs Bola Orogun informed that culture is very important to nation building The event was witnessed by stakeholders and top government functionaries in the state. Among them are Chief of Staff to the Ondo State Government Dr Kola Ademujimi, the General manager Radio Nigeria Positive fm Akure Reverend Olusegun Ayankoso, permanent secretary Ondo State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mr Sunday Agbotoba, Executive Secretary of National Institute for Cultural Orientation NICO Dr Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma. The royal father of the day HRM OBa Dr David Victor Folagbade Olateru Olagbegi III, CFR, the Olowo. Of Owo Kingdom describe culture as people's voice, saying cultural diversity is our collective strength to promote moral ethics in the society.The head of NICO South West Zone Mr Ohi Ojo lead other members of staff of NICO in a stage Drama to demonstrate how unity and togetherness that help promote our culture for a better Nigeria especially in this challenging time in the country.
